The light of a brand new day…
Sounds of laundry in the house…
The testimony of life being lived…
A symbol of the life of hard provider work of a best friend husband, dad, papaw…
It says, “let me show you, prove to you I love you, the people I cherish, love…
Let me become hot, cold, wet, dusty, sweaty, filthy, bent for you…
Let me give you a haven home with all it’s fullness of peace, laughter, love…”
And me, as wife, home maker, mom, mamaw…
As I take the love covered garments of this man I love more than any other human and
cleanse them fresh, tenderly folding…
Preparing them for the next time he embraces me long,
and leaves my sleepy arms…
Lunchbox in hand, out the door, to live out his love for me, for his family…
Does he feel my love gratitude as he wraps fluffy towel around his tired, sometimes aching frame,
breathing in the fragrance of my love for him?
May I always view this as partnering with this one my heart loves…
May I always know and understand this kingdom work of home making,
is that of doing him good and not evil all the days of his life…
For I am my beloved’s and he is mine…

“The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:11 & 12
